The Building Bridges Foundation at Anderson Farm was founded by Dave Anderson. As a veteran, Dave understands the sacrifices made by military service members and their families. His commitment to fulfilling the promise to care for those who served is deeply personal. Inspired by the memory of his brother, a fellow veteran who struggled with the traumas of combat and ultimately took his own life, Dave dedicated himself to providing a place where veterans can heal.
Determined to make a difference, Dave sought a way to help veterans navigate the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. Recognizing the profound impact of equine-assisted therapy, he established the foundation at Anderson Farm, where horses play a vital role in emotional healing and personal growth.
Our programs are designed with the highest standards in equine-assisted therapy, guided by industry experts. We provide a safe, supportive environment where veterans can find solace, build resilience, and rediscover their sense of purpose. More than just therapy, Building Bridges Foundation fosters a community where veterans and their families can come together to support one another.
From the moment you arrive at our 20-acre farm, a sense of peace welcomes you. The property features four expansive pastures, benches for relaxation and reflection, and a gazebo for one-on-one therapy sessions during inclement weather. For those with physical disabilities or mobility challenges, an ATV is available to ensure everyone can access and engage with the horses. Our weekly Veterans Café offers a space for up to 100 people to gather, share stories, and find camaraderie over coffee.
What started as a dream to offer free therapy to veterans has grown into something much more—a sanctuary for healing, peace, mentorship, and community. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member, or someone looking to be part of something greater, we welcome you to join us in building bridges to a brighter future.
